 81916591 - Lighthouses
There was a time when a gnome would do! Duncannon's North Lighthouse started it's life at the mouth of Cork Harbour as one of a pair of Lighthouses. It was dismantled block by block in 1838 and rebuilt on it's current site. The Lighthouse together with the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage are set into a series of granite and York Stone terraces overlooking the picturesque fishing village of Duncannon, Duncannon Harbour and The Hook Peninsula. The Lighthouse is still in use today as a fixed beacon light.
